Taking care of your pool filter is just as important as taking care of your pool water! And when it comes to sand filters, changing out the filter sand is crucial for ensuring optimal efficiency and filtration. Follow along as we walk you through the simple steps of changing out your filter sand!

❓When should you change the filter sand?
There are a few telltale signs to keep an eye out for when it's time to refresh your filter sand. If you're backwashing the filter more than usual, if the pressure gauge reads 8–10 psi higher than normal, or if you notice debris left over in your pool — it's time for new sand!
