What is USAT test in Pakistan?

USAT abbreviated as Undergraduate Studies Admission Test .Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad announced to conduct a uniform test for admissions to undergraduate programs in all universities of Pakistan. Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2022 will be conducted quarterly and universities will accept the score of USAT

Disciplines of USAT test

USAT is designed on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) pattern and covers all known disciplines of Engineering, Medicine, IT, Management, and Social Sciences at the undergraduate entry-level

Is USAT test necessary?

USAT is not required for Engineering LLB and Medical admissions. Because UET and other universities take their own Entry tests.

Test Duration

Part 1 (Time allowed 100 minutes)

Part 2 (Time allowed 40 minutes)

Eligibility criteria

•Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/Grade 12 education
•Students who have appeared in the final examination and are awaiting results

•For registration visit http://etc.hec.gov.pk.
•Create an account or My Profile and application submission using "Undergraduate Studies Admission Test"
•In case of any query during the online registration, please visit onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or vithe sit HEC regional offices for guidance.
Fee
1200 RS PKR (Can be submitted at Habib Bank Limited Account no. 1742 7900 1334 01. Title of Account: Higher Education Commission).

Paper pattern

PART 1

•Number of test items (75 mcqs)
•Time allowed 100 minutes
•Verbal reasoning: 35
•Quantitative reasoning: 40

PART II

•Time allowed 40 minutes
•Essay writing skills 400-500 words (either in English or Urdu): 25

TOTAL MARKS = 100
