Cutting and sewing an Elizabethan corset and funnel corset

Elizabethan Corset:

Pattern Creation:

1. Take measurements: Bust, waist, hip, and length.
2. Draft a pattern: Use a corset pattern or create one from scratch, considering the Elizabethan silhouette (curvy, with a small waist and flared hips).
3. Add seam allowances: 1/4 inch (6 mm) for seams, 1/2 inch (13 mm) for boning channels.


_Sewing:

1. Sew busk: Attach the busk to the center front, using a strong thread and small stitches.
2. Sew boning channels: Create channels for the boning, using a boning foot or zip foot.
3. Sew hip gussets (if using): Attach gussets to the hip area for added curve.
