I stopped publishing Individual Level runs on Youtube a while ago since I felt like they weren't really worth having here (I either have them unlisted for src submissions or on my twitch channel) but I decided to make an exception for this one.

If you perform a ledge clip before the 1st autoscroller and keep dashing you can end up out of bounds and off camera. Turns out that (some of) the rest of the stage is just a bit to the right. Thus it's possible to continue on with the rest of the stage, completely skipping the autoscroller. Unfortunately this means that a portion of the run n gun has to be done off-screen, making this very hard to pull off. Luckily the camera catches up to Cuphead after the 2nd platform of the final section, so the stage can continue (almost) as normal there.

I got a 00:52 a couple days ago, but I wasn't terribly happy with how I played the final section. Realizing that 00:51 was possible, I decided to try and shave that one second off. It took a lot of attempts: here's a quick rundown of the things that needed to go right to get this time:
The ledge clip is frame perfect. You can retry it if you dash early but if you dash late you'll fall into the pit and take damage, meaning you won't have enough health to do the entire skip. And of course I had to get it on my first try here.
After getting the ledge clip there's a chance the screen is gonna lock in a bad position and not allow you to go offscreen.
You need to parry the pig-face on the second gate to get over it. This is pretty precise and made incredibly harder by the fact that it's impossible to see where exactly everything is. You can just destroy it but that is obviously slower.
The first flame of the final section has a random position and is impossible to see, which can easily get you hit.

The Full Clear category can't really do this trick since there's a coin you need to collect in the autoscroller you're skipping, but it's technically possible to pull off in an All Flags run, which would save approximately 20 seconds. You'd need to buy the heart charm (which is already a viable route thanks to the existence of Octopus Skip in Perilous Piers) and fight the first stone lion to save health.
