This video will show you the assembly of the BG-Mosquitaire CO2 trap, an eco-friendly mosquito trap for the garden that has been tried and tested worldwide.

Before the assembly of the BG-Mosquitaire CO2 trap, make sure it is delivered with the following contents:

Trap body, funnel with funnel net, catch bag, power supply and the artificial human skin scent dispenser (either the BG-Basic Dispenser that is included in the contents or the BG-Sweetscent that has to be ordered extra). And the CO2-Set with tube, pressure reducing regulator and CO2 nozzle. The CO2 source is not included in the contents.

Assembly:

Open the dispenser package and remove the dispenser. Place the dispenser into the slot located on the inside wall. Place the catch bag over the funnel net and tighten the top part of the catch bag. Insert the funnel into the opening on top of the lid. Connect the power supply unit to the trap and plug it into a wall socket.

Addition of CO2:

Screw the pressure reducing regulator onto the CO2 gas cylinder. Tighten with a open-end or adjustable wrench.
Unscrew the nut on the outlet. Depending on mosquito situation either the blue or red end can be attached to the pressure regulator. Thread the end of the CO2 tube through the nut and insert the end of the CO2 tube onto the outlet and re-screw the nut back onto the outlet. Attach the long end of the CO2 tube onto the opening on the CO2 emitter nozzle and make sure it's attached securely.
Plug the CO2 nozzle into the respective wholes in the lid of the trap. Finally open the valve on the CO2 gas cylinder.

All the attractants used, which are released into the air from the trap, are also released into the environment in similar quantities by a resting person. Therefore, the long-term use of the trap is completely harmless to health and the environment. The carbon dioxide used is food-grade and is also used in the production of fizzy drinks and for beer tapping in restaurants. As it is a by-product of the industrial production of other substances, it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.
