Webinar: Doctoral studies in France : Life sciences

Описание к видео Webinar: Doctoral studies in France : Life sciences

French and Indian researchers have published 9 546 co-authored papers between 2019 and 2022, involving 13 929 co-authors in India and 14 789 co-authors in France. France is therefore ranked as the 11th partner of India in the world, and there is a real tradition of scientific cooperation that bonds the two countries. All combined (Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Medicine, Immunology and Microbiology, Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics), Life sciences represent, by far, the biggest volume of publications and co-authored publications in France and in India (Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology alone are ranked 8th in India with more than 80 000 publications, and 4th in France with around 65 000 publications between 2019 and 2022).

Choosing France to pursue doctoral studies is therefore, for an Indian graduate student, the opportunity to be integrated in a huge and dynamic network of institutions, labs and research leaders with a proven record of ties with Indian researchers and institutes.

But how can one find opportunities in France? Is it complicated? What are the mechanisms, processes and regulations to go through before making it happen?

This webinar is all about opening a window into the landscape of Life sciences research in France, with the help of 3 prominent actors who introduce their craft and institutions to the audience.
