Sacramento is California's state capital since 1869. The California State Capitol Museum was constructed between 1860 and 1874 in the gorgeous Neoclassical Architecture style.

I took a brief stroll around the front lawn of the California State Capitol Museum. The building is closed on weekends, but I was fortunate to capture the Sheriff, who was on duty, as he was sharing the fascinating history of the building and area!
