2Pac "When Thugz Cry" Ft. Nanci Fletcher (OG Vibe)

Aight, storytime... 😁

Honestly I neeeeeeeeeeever had any intentions on doing an OG Vibe for this 2Pac song, because even though the beat sounds kinda simple to remake, there are sooooooo many moving parts as far as guitar work.
(bass guitar, wah wah guitar and lead guitar)
Now when my homeboy ‪@joecool4108‬ and a few others hit me up about OG Vibing it I was a bit reluctant to do it, but I went on ahead and gave it a try after Joe Cool gave me all the acapellas and multiple versions of "Fragile" by Sting to sample.

Here's the thing.
I know sometimes it might appear that I'm able to do these OG Vibes quickly, which there are a handful that I have been able to do pretty quick.
This one ain't one of em. 🤣🤣🤣
According to the original Pro Tools session file I originally started rebuilding the song from scratch on 11/06/2021.

The first issue I was really worried about was how in the world was I gonna be able to recreate the main lead guitar?
I had hit up Bomb1st member ‪@lexsenbeats‬ and asked him if he was able to replay the part. Luckily he had already had the part replayed and sent it to me (thanks a bunch bro 😁👍)
I originally replayed the bass line, but It just wasn't as thick as the original bass line that was on the OG, so I just extracted and used the OG bass line.
I didn't realize until much later after playing around with some choir vocal sounds called "Melchoir" and "Femenine" on Reason 8.0 for this new intro and outro that I added to the mix that "When Thugz Cry" (OG) actually had some very light choir sounds in the background, so I had to replay that for the main background section of the beat.
Now as far as the "wah wah guitar" I wasn't able to find an instrument on my Reason program to emulate it perfectly so I used what's called "Filtered Wheeler" (what I usually use to play "the worm"/synth whistle) and "GT Elec 12 Open" to recreate most of the notes.

For the vocals I had to use MULTIPLE VERSIONS to stitch together to create the best quality acapella that would have damn near everything intact.
Of course that 3rd verse was going to be a problem, because it seems like NO VERSION has the best vocal, plus I can't stand any of the versions that has Pac doing the hook on top of the verse, so I had to piece together 2 different versions to make the vocals appear full like the other 2 verses...
