Today I visit St Fagans National Museum of History. Formerly known as The Welsh Folk Museum, this wonderful outdoor attraction occupying a 100 acre site on the edge of Cardiff, South Wales, is home to nearly 50 historic buildings dismantled brick-by-brick from locations all over Wales and re-erected here in the grounds of this 400 year old castle.

Many of the locations have been featured in BBC TV’s Doctor Who - which is filmed nearby, and although I don’t have time to visit all of the buildings on site, fans of the show may well recognise some of the ones I do.
