A compromised seal leads to spoilage, which can be very dangerous. Don’t take any risks: always test seals the day after canning and any jar that doesn’t pass the two-part test should be transferred to the fridge for enjoying soon. ⁣
⁣
Properly sealed jars should then be labeled and stored (without rings). Labeling is important because believe me, you won’t remember what’s in those jars. (The same holds true for any bag or container placed in the freezer. Ask me how I know. 😆)⁣

Also, make sure to include the date so you can eat your canned goods in a timely fashion, always using the oldest jars first. ⁣
⁣
