1988 - 2002 GM OBS Truck Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement (LH & RH sides) (Chevy & GMC)

Описание к видео 1988 - 2002 GM OBS Truck Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement (LH & RH sides) (Chevy & GMC)

In this video we approach the replacement of worn out windshield wiper transmission assemblies for both the LH and RH side wiper arms. You can attempt to re-torque the wiper linkage to the wiper motor crank arm stud which I did in an earlier video, but if it comes apart again you have to replace it as the parts are simply too worn. That is the situation that this video addresses.

The vehicle illustrated is a 1998 Chevrolet Cheyenne K2500, but the procedure and technique shown is applicable to any 1988 thru 2000 OBS GM truck GMT400 type such as the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Cheyenne, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Blazer, GMC Suburban, or GMC Yukon. Also applicable to Holden branded trucks in Australia of this same time period.

The eBay and Amazon search links below are paid links, for which I may be compensated and earn a commission, if you choose to buy the parts and tools shown in this video thru them:

When you go to reattach the long center black plastic cowl trim piece, you may find the small black plastic nuts snapped into the sheet metal for the screws are stripped and need to be replaced.
