A man was killed after being shot in the head at a Metro station in Los Angeles Friday night.

The shooting happened near the La Cienega/Jefferson station on the 5600 block of West Jefferson Boulevard in West Adams at around 7:22 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man was shot on the train as other passengers were nearby. Arriving officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head who was not conscious or breathing at the time. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
