Описание к видео The Legend of Chunhyang - Korean Folklore

In the ancient province of Namwon, during the prosperous Joseon Dynasty, lived Chun Hyang, the daughter of a famous courtesan. She and the young scholar Yi Mong-ryong fell in love and secretly married. When Yi Mong-ryong left to study, Chun Hyang refused to become the concubine of the new corrupt magistrate, Byeon Hak-do, and was imprisoned. Years later, Yi Mong-ryong, now an official, returned, exposed Byeon Hak-do's crimes, and freed Chunyang. They renewed their vows and lived happily ever after, becoming symbols of love and justice in Korean culture.
