Jeff’s guest is author and law enforcement officer Mike Simmons. The son of a police officer, Simmons began his career with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer, then became a Pensacola police officer, retiring as a sergeant after nearly three decades on the force. He has written two books, “I’m a Dead Man: The Link Between the John F. Kennedy Assassination and the Unsolved Murder in Pensacola” and, most recently, “Pensacola’s Finest: The Story of the Pensacola Police Department.” Currently, Mike Simmons works with the Criminal Justice Training Center at George Stone Technical College.
