Nealis' best attribute is his ability in the air. He ranks amongst the best in the MLS and is a show of how all his attributes build into being really good at 1 thing. His strong aerial ability comes from the fact Nealis is good positionally and incredibly aggressive.

If Nealis sees a ball in the air he can get to he will. He will then use his strength and aggressiveness to shove the player out of the way to win the header. Nealis will rarely use a straight jump to win the ball. He will almost always give himself a running start allowing him to use his size and strength to really unsettle the other player challenging for the ball.
