Made in USSR!

This song is a joke of course. There is a trend in Russian to take English terms and use them in Russian language as they are. The authors of the song apply this principle to the realities of the Soviet past which is extremely funny.
Of course it is not about that everything was "first made in USSR". It's a humour, self-parody, but also a nostalgia. According to a recent survey about 60% of Russian people miss the Soviet Union and want it back. The life was safe and secure. There was no freedom but the children grew up happily, there was no democracy, but old people were looked after very well. People didn't own cars, but the ticket for a bus cost 5 cent. Not mentioning good free education, decent health care for everyone, no sex and violence on TV. Real friendship between different nations and cultures. Excellent sport, excellent art ... The list is endless.
Please notice that UV lamp and little ones standing in a circle around it - it was used to top up their vitamin D during long winter months (essential for the bones). The modern Western doctors would probably faint at this sight. Or ring the police or social service ))
