Описание к видео 1970 Plymouth Cuda Barracuda Export 340 for sale

1970 Barracuda 340 Export Rotterdam Car

Barracuda with 340!!! Maybe 1of1

This Baracuda is something very special. In 1970 about 50 Cuda and Challenger were assembled in Rotterdam. The cars were delivered as body shells without a VIN without a fender Tag. (Apparently for customs reasons). All Rotterdam Cars have a short VIN number on the dashboard with only 8 digits. The Rotterdam cars were sold via AMAG in Schinznach Switzerland, which is why a Schinznach badge was installed and the remaining numbers of the VIN were "filled in". All Rotterdam cars also have a VIN stamped on the inner fender on the passenger side.
The Glas were produced in Holland, which is confirmed by the stamps on the glasses.

All Rotterdam vehicles have no fender Tag, which unfortunately leads to speculation about the options. This Cuda, which had been in the same family since the beginning of 1971 (first registration November 1970) and has been handed down, leaves no doubt. there is also a photo from 1974 with the 1st owner in front of the Barracuda. It was the confirmation from the last owner who unfortunately passed away much too soon. Even the original spoke wheel covers are there.

It is not an "Export" version from Hamtrack but a shipped-in-crate welded and assembled at the Chrysler-Nekaf factory in Rotterdam (Netherlands), this was from the end of the Marshall Plan up to the beginning of 70's, because of the extremely high import taxes for outside of Europe produced vehicles.

The Big Three of Detroit had some local assembly factories in Europe (Mainly NL, Belgium and UK) where stamped pieces of sheetmetal as well as everything needed to build the cars except regulation-submitted parts (Headlights, un-tinted glass and windshield...)

These European-Made Barracuda's do not have any fender tag, and only a partial VIN on the dash tag (No engine code, no Number on the 727, nor Price level nor model and body, only the 8th last digits) I did not find any buildsheet neither yet (but I don't believe it exists on the Europe-made cars).
