Kicker CS65 4 ohm speakers 2011 Chevy Cruze Front Door Install

This is an install of the Kicker CS65 4 ohm coaxial (2-way) speaker in the front door of a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. This video shows how the old speaker mount can be adapted to fit the Kickers setup with some basic tools (torx screws, 7mm hex bit, small flathead, multipurpose wire crimp tool, cutting pliers, any type of adhesive or hot glue gun, and ideally trim removal tools to pull door cover out). You will not need a GM wire harness adapter, soldering tools, or new mounting brackets. The kickers come with the crimp Electrical connectors you need, and the screws you will use. This will, however, destroy your stock speakers (mine were in bad shape) since you are modifying the mount to house your kickers. Also, the speaker grill in the cruze is built in to the door panel so you will need to keep those on as opposed to installing the grill that comes with the speakers. In the end, this will not affect your Cars wiring since the speaker wire harness on the car door is not modified.
