Helix knitting makes use of the simple fact that when you knit in the round, you actually knit in an upward spiral. To avoid a jog, helix knitting has you knitting a double helix. The start and end of the helix will be somewhat visible but the rest is perfect.
This tutorial shows you the basic helix knitting technique and a couple of ways to improve it.
THe second half of the video shows you how to knit jogless 2-row stripes, how to knit garter stitch in the round, stripes in garter stitch, and how to fix the offset at the beginning of the helix
