I have two busy Cargo Terminals exiting to "a road" mixing road. Then traffic chooses one of two exits at the other end of this common road. I improve the flow of this road by using node to encourage multiple chances for lane changing to reduce the chance of collisions.
In this video I also start the road build to separate import from export Cargo Terminal. I set up the exit roads here.
For those who have been led to believe that close proximity nodes are a bad idea and will cause harm to traffic flow I have an experiment series below for you to investigate. Now there are situations where nodes seem to be the issue but it is not the node alone at issue.
