Golden ribbons of sunlight spill through dirty glass and dirty air
In the corner I sit, as if I had for years, tangled up in cobwebs of confusion
All the frequencies I receive are fighting with the ones I send
The dissonance reverberates - Like earthquakes in my heart, they overwhelm

Softly in the distance, a drone rings in my ears, blooming so quickly into screams
Vision all goes grey as my hands are tingling - In the corner I sit, frozen
In my fog, I try to feel around, but the walls are lined with needles
Instead I have to stay and try to get out of the grey

Closing my eyes, I picture a life of blue skies
And I wash the world in an ocean of cerulean
Immersing myself in teal helps me to feel what I really feel
And the tears can pour because my heart is open

Silver ribbons of sunlight sparkle over the ocean that swells in my soul
In my corner I sit, breathing, seeking teal as I brush off the cobwebs
All my strength is in my breath which washes through me like a wave
Nourishing, guiding me to piece through all the screams and dissonance
