This is how I ended up sleeping on the Iron Ore Train running through the Sahara desert in Mauritania!

We spent around 9+ hours on this train ride after literally chasing it down until it finally stopped for us to board. It was a chaotic and manic rush to get on without being seen and to huddle down until we started moving.

We all tucked into our sleeping bags and actually got a decent nights sleep being nice and warm in our protective gear.

When we awoke to the sunrise, it was the most surreal feeling witnessing the endless dunes and the rising sun. We continued to take it all in and even had a dance session with the little speaker I brought with me.

Until we finally disembarked at the shipping yards which felt like some Mad Max train graveyard. Yes we all felt safe and yes we were filthy as hell after that experience.

But it's one hell of a story to remember and tell!
