Hello Friends,

First of all, I want to make something very clear. I want to highlight an important fact: Help One Now is YOU – the person reading this letter. You are the fuel to the fire. Your love, commitment and generosity are what fan the flames of change. Sparks fly, and each spark represents Love, Hope & Progress.

While love and hope fuel the progress, the past year was not without its difficulties and setbacks. 2017 was HARD. But work that really matters is always hard. Fighting global poverty is no easy task, but we know that together we can build a better world. When challenges arise, we do what we have always strived to do:

Trust God – Work Hard – Believe in the Vision of our Local Leaders – Believe in the Generosity of the Help One Now Community

Once again, you showed up, ready to stand with our leaders, believing in the vision to empower them to care for kids and transform communities.

50,000 people impacted. 50,000 stories. We are proud, but not content. We have so much more to do. God is moving and we are trying to keep up. It’s not easy. It’s a wild ride, but it’s worth it. What’s Next?

This time next year, Help One Now will be gearing up to celebrate our 10 year anniversary as an organization! 9 years ago, our desire was to help 33 kids in Zimbabwe. By the end of 2016, we found ourselves impacting 35,000 lives. Today, Help One Now and our remarkable local leaders are serving 50,000 people on a regular basis. We project our impact to be 65,000 lives by the end of this year, over 150,000 lives in 2020, and over 2 million lives by 2030.

We’ve been asking ourselves the same question for nearly 10 years: How can we end extreme poverty in the communities where we serve? What is the ONE THING we can do that will have the deepest impact — the largest ripple effect to help the most people flourish?

We believe that ONE THING is this: empower families to have a future and be healthy leaders in their communities. This is our mission, our passion, and the greatest hope we have found to truly eradicate extreme poverty. We believe this brings joy to God and aligns with His plan to build a healthy world, one family at a time.

Doing Good is Simple and significant. The way to do the most good is to empower as many families as possible. Already, we have empowered hundreds of families in the last few years. Now, it’s time to empower tens of thousands of families around the world!
