Iran, Izadkhast Ancient Castle - قلعه باستانی ایزدخواست

قلعه باستانی ایزدخواست یکی از قدیمی ترین قلعه های ایران که در زمان ساسانیان ساخته شده و تا اوایل دوره پهلوی در آن زندگی میکردند. این قلعه اولین بنای چند طبقه ایران و یکی از بزرگترین بناهای خشتی نیز میباشد. در نزدیکی قلعه باستانی، کاروانسرای صفوی 400 ساله قرار گرفته که در شرف ثبت در میراث جهانی یونسکو هست. سد باستانی ایزدخواست همچنین اولین سد قوسی جهان که در زمان ساسانیان ساخته شد است. درآخر هم سری زدیم به یک اقامتگاه سنتی در شهر ایزدخواست که بسیار زیبا و بهمون سبک خونه های قدیمی داخل قلعه ساخته شده بود. ایزدخواست در فاصله 320 کیلومتری شمال شیراز واقع شده.

The ancient Izadkhast Castle (or Izad-Khast), is one of the oldest castles in Iran, built in the Sassanid period (224 to 651 AD), and people used to live in the castle, up to the Pahlavi period (1920s). This huge complex, was the first multistorey building in Iran, and one of the largest adobe building in Iran too. Near the ancient castle, there’s an old caravanserai, which dates back to 400 years ago, the Safavid period, and soon it’ll be added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also there’s an ancient dam here, the ancient Izadkhast Dam, which was the first curved dam in the world; built during the Sassanid period. At last, we visited a traditional residence inn, in Izadkhast city, which was really beautiful and built in the same style as the old houses of the castle. Izadkhast is located at 320 km north of Shiraz.
