Kobo sage supports taking notes using a Kobo stylus. It also supports non-Kobo stylus but not all of them work.
In this video note-taking review video, I have demonstrated all possible options of annotating and note-taking on Kobo sage.
The same may also apply to Kobo Elipsa. Kobo Libra 2 does not have stylus support but I have covered one option where Libra 2
users can use that to export their annotations out of their device into an online tool and from there read it on an Android based device or through the computer.
The video also covers annotating on EPUB books, PDF books & manga. It also emphasizes the battery usage of kobo sage while taking notes.
