This is the best game I've had with the new Hero Roughneck! I've played around with various builds a fair amount since getting it, and have definitely been the most consistent with this one so far. With low-caliber autocannons, you're always going to have to stare down your opponents to take advantage of their DPS, and with the rate of fire the RACs give you, people will want to run and find cover instead of firing back at you. The AC/5 syncs up nicely with the RAC2s in terms of projectile velocity, so when firing at distant targets it's easier to get all your shots to hit where you want them to.

MechWarrior online is a free to play (F2P) Player vs. Player (PvP) game where you pilot gigantic Battlemechs with massively destructive weaponry. Most gameplay is centered around the 12 vs 12 quickplay format with no respawns, but there are other game modes such as Faction Play where your aim is to raid the enemy base and destroy 4 waves (respawns) of the opposition. There is also the 1v1 Solaris7 game mode that nobody ever plays, but is a fun time when you just want to drop in and fight your friends and still get some c-bills out of it.
There are some purchases to make with real money in game such as Hero mechs and premium time, but the game often has events that let F2P players get plenty of premium content.
It's set within the Battletech Universe, in the future (31st century). There are many many video games based on Battletech, but there are also board games and even a spinoff cartoon series! Check out Sarna.net if you're interested in the lore behind this expansive universe!
