Why You Should Not Use Gloves to Dry Clean Comic Books!

Showcase Comics 60 Episode 3: Dry Cleaning Back Cover.

In this video series we evaluate this key silver age comic book--Showcase Comics #60 from February of 1966, the first silver age appearance of the Spectre, for clean and press and submission to CGC. In today’s video I dry clean the back cover, and discuss the recommendation of the Library of Congress to use clean, dry, bare hands to handle paper!

The materials and methods I use are archival and are reversible. If done properly, they do not result in a purple restored label from CGC.
