【レザークラフト】駒合わせ縫いで作る喰い切りケース / [Leather Craft] Making a Case for my End Nipper using Box Stitch

ファスナーの長さ調節で愛用中の「喰い切り」という道具。無造作に工具箱に放り込んで置いたら刃こぼれしてしまいました。まだ使えるので反省の意味を込めて今回はこの喰い切りのケースを作っていきます。道具は大切にしなきゃいけませんね…。

いつもは結構設計を煮詰めてから制作・撮影に臨むのですが、今回は結構ラフな設計のまま撮影に入りました。こういう気楽な工作が結構楽しいんですよね。

手持ちの工具のケースづくりって、試してみたいこと、苦手なことにトライする良いチャンスなので結構好きです。今回は「駒合わせ縫い」に挑戦しましたが、これをキレイに縫えるようになると作るものの幅も広がるので是非マスターしたいと思っています。

I use a end nipper (in Japanese "KUIKIRI") for adjusting the length of zipper. I threw it into the tool box carelessly and the blade was nicked. I can still use it, so I made this case to reflect on it. I should take care of my tools more...

I usually go into shooting after the design has been refined, but this time I went into shooting with a rather rough design. This kind of easy handicraft is quite fun.

Making a case for my tool is a good chance to try something I want to test and something I'm not good at. I tried "box stitch" this time. If I can sew this beautifully, the range of things I can make will widen, so I want to master it.
