Pierre writes: Just wrapped up a new piece using my latest eBay score - a Nagra IV-D reel-to-reel. This Swiss-made recorder was the gold standard for field recording and film sound in the 70s and 80s.
This one's a bit of a departure from my usual stuff - more hypnotic, less movement. It was about exploring textures and tones, blurring the line between digital precision and analog warmth.

Inside thought

Sound permeates our existence. It is a part of our evolving consciousness. The movement we perceive that is about us is coded in sound. My effort is to decode sound into components that can be used to influence the visual movement of a visual display in a natural way. The audio visual display provides feedback to the person and this may provide an immersive experience, synching, of our hearing and seeing.

About the Creator
I use sound as primary for feeding the driving force of a changing image.
I've been exploring this area for the past 30 years. Considering myself a creator by process figuring out the steps as I go along. My focus tries to find a visual kinetic aesthetic that is synched to sounds motional dynamic. A viewing person may have a Resonation or immersive experience which is the goal of creating these sketches, none the less these are far and few from the alchemy of the art.
