First, see for yourself what the problem is with the soft top.
If it really cannot be opened, the hydraulic pump should be checked.
But switch off the ignition first.

An initial visual inspection is important. The oil level must be checked.
The oil should be between the minimum and maximum levels when the soft top is closed.
If it is not, you will have to look for a leak.
Use your finger to check whether oil is leaking.
These bolts at the front are suspicious. And so are ...
... the bolts at the rear where the hoses are connected.
The pump must be removed.
But first you should take out some of the interior trim in the trunk.
Now to depressurize the system.
Important: Wear safety glasses and gloves!
Open the pressure valve at this socket screw.
The soft top compartment lid cylinder must be removed.
First unscrew the piston lock.
Older pistons do not have this lock.
Pull out the safety clip for the lower pin using a screwdriver.
The pin can now be pulled out.
Use a screwdriver to lever out the head of the pin.
The bottom of the piston is now free.
There is another pin to remove at the top.
The pin has a safety clip fastened to the hinge.

The piston can now be pulled out.
One electrical cable must be unplugged.
At the top the pump is fastened to the body with a bolt.
The unit must be detached here.
At the bottom the hydraulic pump sits in the foam rack.
Pull the unit out carefully until the bolts at the back are visible.
Check whether oil is leaking at these bolts. In this case the bottom bolt is leaking.
Reach into the foam rack to check whether ...
... oil has collected at the bottom. If it has, replace the foam rack.
The bolt can now be replaced.
Put your gloves back on and place a rag underneath. Oil could run out.
The parts pack for this vehicle model includes bolts for two different configurations.
So examine the two new bolts carefully and select the same type of bolt ...
... that was removed.
The seal rings are different: One is recessed, the other sits on the surface.
The bolt is tightened to 30 newton meters.
Install in the reverse order.
Remember to top up the hydraulic fluid again at the end (Aral Vitamol ZH-M).
The oil should be between the minimum and maximum levels.
Tighten the screw plug on the tank to 2 newton meters.
Before reinstalling the interior paneling, perform a function test.
Check the roof and don't forget to close the pressure valve again.
Then carry out a final visual inspection.
Advise the customer to check the oil level again later on.
