The WORST Exploration Wells

Back in 2022 we released two videos - the best and the worst UK oil field developments. They were both popular (one more than the other.....). At that time we were asked to do the 10 worst exploration wells - it's taken a while but here it is!

Thanks to everyone who suggested entries! Did yours make the cut? What did we miss? What should be at number 10? Let us know in the comments!

Some of the wells in this list are by no means unique in their reason for failure but provide an example of how and why some exploration wells underperform. Other wells in this list have more unique stories...

We have done a few of these "Top 10 Worst" and we get far more comments and complaints. They are mainly alone the lines -"Why didn't you include XYZ?" "I know wells way worse than that" etc. But feel free to add your comments - we may do a follow up video with the "worst of the worst"
