A road in Chadderton has been shut off tonight by police following a "serious incident".  Denton Lane has been closed by officers from Walsh Street to its junction with Block Lane and Lansdowne Road.  GMP have been contacted for a comment about the exact nature of the incident.  There is a large emergency services presence at the scene, with photographs showing a section that appears to be cordoned off.  Transport for Greater Manchester has tweeted: "Denton Lane, Chadderton, Oldham, is closed between Walsh Street and the Block Lane / Lansdowne Road Roundabout due to a police incident.
