Although one of Botswana’s busiest parks, Chobe National Park is definitely worth a visit for its sheer number of different habitats and immense big game population.

The park stretches from the northern tip of Botswana to the outskirts of the Okavango Delta, with the Chobe River running along the border to the north, separating it from Namibia.

From the floodplains that surround the river to the grasslands of the Savuti Marsh, a unique abundance of wildlife and birdlife can be seen here. Vast herds of elephant, sometimes five hundred or so strong, frequent the water’s edge making game viewing by boat spectacular.
