Matte vs Glossy Covers For CreateSpace/KDP Print

A question we get often from clients is: what cover finish should I select for my self-publishing project?

Does it depend on the genre or type of book? Is one categorically better than the other? In this video, I offer my thoughts and preference based on the hundreds of books we've helped publish.

But I'd love to hear your thoughts too! Do you prefer a matte or glossy finish for your book? Does the printing platform matter (Ingram Spark vs CreateSpace vs KDP Print)?
