Ilbīrī was a famous maliki jurist in Qurtuba (Spain) in the 1000s of the Islamic Hijra calendar. His Ta'iyyah poem is full of gems; the translation does due it justice compared to it's rich arabic; however it has been reviewed and I thought I would share it with the western world who cannot understand the classical arabic.
