The UFC Flyweight division has always been the UFC’s weakest division. However, with fan favorite Joshua Van recently winning the belt, the Flyweight division has a ton of momentum riding into 2026.

The UFC is making its return to Houston on February 21 with the current main event set to be Sean Strickland vs Fluffy Hernandez. However, the main event should clearly be headlined by the Flyweight title fight between Joshua Van and Manel Kape. In this video, I do a rundown on the 125LB division’s history and make the case for why the division has never been better.
