Step 1: Download, install the Mi Fitness app on your smart phone. Then, make sure the smart phone and your Redmi Watch 5 are connected and synced via the Mi Fitness app.

Step 2: Launch the Mi Fitness app and go to the "Device" tab. Here, select your Redmi Watch 5 and tap on "Notifications and Calls". If it's your first time, you'll be prompted to give notifications permissions. Tap on OK to be able to see them on your wearable device.

Step 3: Choose the "App Notifications" option. It should be on by default.

Step 4: The "Customize Notifications" toggle is also ON by default. You'll see a list of apps installed on your smartphone. Toggle the switch next to your Messages app to disable text message notifications.

You will no longer receive text message notifications on your Redmi Watch 5.

Step 5 (Optional): You can also toggle off the "App Notifications" option to stop receiving app notifications altogether, including text message notifications.
