When I'm looking for something crunchy without all that added salt and fat these potato peel crisps is my go to recipe. This is the best way to use the skins of potatoes. Potato Skins Baked into a Tasty Snack Chip anytime. Most of the vitamins and fibre is contained within the skin of the potato more so than the potato flesh. These oven baked crisps make a better alternative to the store bought processed TGIF fried chips version of potato skin crisps which are full of fats and salts. These air fried potato skins are made using real real potato skins and not some over processed powder pressed into a skin shape and can be made easily anytime. Ingredients:

4 Idaho Potatoes (use medium to large potatoes)
Salt
Avocado oil cooking spray


Sour Cream & Onion Dip:

1/2 cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp. Dry Onion Pieces
1/4 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/4 Tsp. Ranch Dressing or Powder mix
1 Tbsp. Chopped Green Onion
Salt
Pepper

Recipe

STEP 1
Preheat the oven or Air Fryer to 400°F.

STEP 2
Peel the potatoes, making sure to leave about 1/8-inch of potato flesh on each piece in addition to the peel. You can accomplish this by pressing down a bit with the peeler. Set the peels aside in a container with cold water and salt. This will keep the potato peels from oxidizing and turning brown.

STEP 3
After about 10 minutes, pad dry the potato skins and spread out in an even layer on a baking rack in your air fryer oven or use a cooling tray over your baking sheet tray if using a conventional oven.

Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes
Rotate the air fryer racks midway through cooking (tossing once or twice to prevent sticking in the oven), until crisp and browned.
