In this video we did not set out to make a video, we just turned on cameras at the end of the mission to capture a few minutes of both pilots flying the DC-3. Listen in and dissect the communication breakdown, and our surprise to see another aircraft pull out directly in front of us!

The pilot was a student pilot, and in talking afterwards, she had not done a radio check, or looked before pulling out. All good, very easy to fix in flight, but we were convinced it was a male pilot, and listening for a male voice on the radio. The C-172 pilot never heard any transmission from the DC-3 or any other plane for her entire flight.
