Maalaala Mo Kaya - Joel Malit (Pedro Concepcion)

I arranged this piece in November 2010 based on the audio cassette album by Pedro Concepcion entitled Philippine Memories. The guitar version recorded by Pedro Concepcion originally has introduction and ending part played by orchestra which is not commonly heard in all other version. If you compare this arrangement to others, you will know that there is something missing specially if you know the lyrics of the song. This arrangement is unique and one-of-a-kind and is not intended as an accompaniment for your song. There is nothing I can do about it but to admire and appreciate its uniqueness. I'm just interpreting what I heard from the version of Pedro Concepcion. If there are some errors in my interpretation, this is due to my lack of knowledge and skill. I'm a Fine Arts graduate and I have no formal education in Music. I'm just a self-taught amateur guitarist playing in "oido" style.

I made two arrangements for this piece, one with introduction and ending in lower octave voice and the other one is played in this video. It took me some years to decide which one to play, I reviewed the tabs just a few days ago and recorded it today without enough practice......hard to put some feelings on my playing while reading the tabs.

I will also include the other version in the book to be released hopefully by next year.

I forgot to mentioned that I already arranged this piece in 1994 but without the introduction and orchestral parts, instead I borrowed the missing parts from other source. Thanks to Mr. Mar Mendoza for giving me the converted mp3 of this title that I used in this new 2010 version.
