My dog's name is Dahuai. Recently, he fell into a deep existential crisis because I didn't take him out for a walk downstairs. Look at him lying there motionless, ears perked up like radar dishes—his mind is actually deep in philosophical thoughts about the meaning of dog life.

To protest, he started doing some superstitious stuff, bowing frantically at the floor. When I pointed at the floor and asked what he was looking for, he even tried to perform a 'disappear on the spot' trick for me. Next, he did a thorough search of the window gaps, as if there was a secret tunnel to freedom hidden there. After finding nothing, he ran over and barked at me, like saying 'if we don't leave now, I'll call the police'.

I quickly grabbed a worn-out tennis ball to soothe him. But he just picked up the ball and walked away, with a look full of disdain—as if saying 'you think this can get rid of me?' However, this cold attitude didn't last three seconds. He turned around and trotted back with the ball in his mouth, tail wagging like a propeller. That's dogs for you: one second they're contemplating the meaning of dog life, the next second a ball makes dignity irrelevant.
