     The claim that to be conscious is for there to be ‘something it is like to be you’ can be described in terms of having a ‘point of view’ , or a ‘perspective’.  To have a point of view in this sense is simply to be the centre of conscious experience.  Of course, to explain consciousness in terms of having a point of view and then to explain what it is to have a point of view in terms of being conscious is circular.
