Lewis Hamilton worked his way up the various classes of motorsport like all F1 drivers. Here he is competing in his first year in the JICA (Junior Intercontinental A) class in the Champions of the Future series. He finishes 3rd following a fantastic last lap move. The highest class of Junior karting in the UK at the time (1998). It took him a little while to get fully up to speed. At this point he had McLaren sponsorship.
