Robots txt Disallow: What Is It & How to Use It

In this video, I am going to explain exactly what the robots.txt file is and where you can find your robots.txt file. Plus, I will help you understand how Google and other search engine robots use the robots.txt file when crawling your website and how you should configure your robots.txt file including how to add a disallow statement.

I will also provide insight into what bots use your robots.txt files and which ones are most likely to ignore the file altogether. Using Amazon's robots.txt file as an example we will explore all the various commands that might be included.
