Day Twenty: Ridiculed

God has a tendency to ask us to do things that seem absurd. When I look back at my own life, so much of the resistance I’ve had to doing what God wanted had to do with how ridiculous it seemed and how afraid I was of having to share with other people some ridiculous thing I was going to do.

Peter walking on water was ridiculous and it would have been reasonable to laugh at him for even considering stepping out. But he did. He risked ridicule to pursue Jesus. And he showed us that the only way you don’t end up with Jesus is if you stay in the boat.

Which leaves us with today's question, in your walk with God, are you in the boat or out of the boat??
