Hello friends and subscribers, welcome to our channel. Here’s the second episode of our trip to Alberta, Canada. This time we are taking you with us to Banff National Park.

Banff is one of those places that leaves you speechless no matter where you turn due to its stunning landscapes. Considered as a nature lover’s paradise, Banff is renowned for being one of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations. With breathtaking natural surroundings and adventurous activities, it is the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

Upon entering Banff National Park, you will need to purchase a national park pass. Daily entry is $10.50 for adults and free for youth 17 and under. We decided to pay our pass online to avoid the hassle. National Park Pass when visiting is required.

Located in the heart of Banff National Park, this world-famous castle-like hotel stands as one of the iconic landmarks of Banff. When you see this place first time, you will think you just woke up in a storybook. We have never seen anything like this before only in movies, so we decided to visit and check it out even though we are not spending a night. When you walk in through the revolving doors, you could see the European vibe with its staircase, light fixtures, and stone walls. Due to its reputation and location, Fairmont Banff Springs hotel could be very expensive. The good news is you don’t really need to spend overnight just to see this iconic hotel in Canadian Rockies. You can simply walk around the property and take it all in when you visit.

When visiting Banff, you need to wear good walking shoes because you can check out most of it out on foot. We are now strolling along Banff Avenue which is just 5 minutes away from our hotel. This is considered the busiest pedestrian area in the town of Banff. So many tourists visit this pedestrian zone to experience the majestic vistas of Cascade Mountain. This place is known for its wide array of boutique shops, restaurants with wide range of cuisines. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner or just quick bite you can find it all here at Banff Avenue.

About 20 minutes walk from our hotel, is another attraction at Banff called Cascades of Time Garden. This place is free to be enjoyed by everyone who wants to visit. Located across the Bow Bridge on the west end of Banff Avenue, this garden is surrounded by a picture-perfect landscape overlooking the majestic Cascade Mountain. Walking in through the main gate is the impressive brick building which is an administration building. As you walk through the garden, you will see vibrant flowers and beautifully curated landscape with a panoramic view of the mountains.

This Pavilion is called Cambrian Pavilion and Pool. This is ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies. As you continue to go up the garden, it leads you to lush gardens and magnificent rock terraces. You can sit down in a covered gazebo, take photos, and get mesmerized by the beautiful surroundings. Cascade of Time Garden boasts around 50,000 annual flowers, tended by a team of Parks Canada staff. We are so fortunate to see the garden in full bloom. Maintaining a garden like this is certainly labor intensive so we salute the staff for doing a great job. This place inspires relaxation and elevates your spirit.

Our next stop is Banff Gondola. This place is a bit far from our hotel, so we took advantage of their free public transit. The shuttle runs daily in the summer with convenient pick-up points in town and regular departures every 40 minutes. The shuttle makes it so easy to get to Banff Gondola especially if you have kids with you. If you are wondering if Banff Gondola is worth it, the answer is an absolute YES. The ticket price could vary so we recommend you purchase it online because it is much cheaper compared to the price they offer at the ticket booth. Another reason is you can ensure that they won’t be sold out when you visit. The 8-minute ride takes you to the top of the Mount Sulphur and each gondola fits 4 people. Once you reach the top, you will find interactive displays that talks about the development of Canada’s first national park. There are places to eat with incredible views. Outside, you will enjoy the board walk which head towards the top of Sanson’s Peak and Sulphur Mountain. There’s a spot where you see the 360 views of the town of Banff. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes if you plan to go all the way and reach the top of the mountain.

We absolutely enjoyed our experience and seeing the beautiful sunset. We loved the gondola views on the way up and saw the best views in Banff. It was truly an incredible experience; the adventure was so worth it!
