Today, we’re talking about interest rates.

Over the last few months, we’ve seen rates come down, but they’ve started inching back up. So, what’s going on here?
If you recall, about a year ago, interest rates were as high as 8%, which wasn’t a very good sign. However, this past summer in August, rates started coming down. Inflation seemed to be under control, which directly affects interest rates, and we saw rates as low as 5.8%.

But now, they’ve started ticking back up. Over the last couple of months, we’ve had a few reports indicating that inflation isn’t coming down as quickly as had been hoped. As a result, interest rates have begun climbing again.
As of this week, I’ve seen rates as low as 6.5%, somewhere in that range.

So, what can we expect for the end of the year?

Well, I heard another report today suggesting that inflation is still being stubborn. Because of that, I wouldn’t expect rates to drop much lower than what we’re seeing now.
