1-21 The ABCs of Perfumery

Описание к видео 1-21 The ABCs of Perfumery

A session from a workshop in The Art and Technology of Perfumery held in Bangkok 2012.

In this session we recreate the first step in "The ABCs of Perfumery". A systematic method of odour classification built on the premise that there may be such things as "prime smells" in the same way we talk about prime colours, as in a rainbow (spectrum) or the RGB Red-Green-Blue system used by monitors and TVs. By linking each "prime odour" to a group represented by a letter of the English alphabet e.g. C=Citrus covering Orange, Lemon, Lime and S=Spice grouping Clove, Cinnamon etc. we get a rich odour classification system that can cover day-to-day smells as well as perfume and flavours.

If you are seeing this video and are not a subscriber to the channel it will only be available for a limited period of time. Its from a collection of around 100 videos only available to our Workshop Graduates. Each video will have a new technique or method for perfume creation. If you want to see more videos in the series be sure to subscribe.
