Tony & Chelsea Northrup review the Sony ZV-E10 II video camera and compare it against the iPhone 15 Pro Max and DJI Pocket 3, as well as Canon & Nikon cameras. The Sony ZV-E10 II has some pretty amazing features: a 26 megapixel APS-C sensor that supports up to 4k/60 video (with a small 1.1X crop). It has amazing autofocus and features YouTubers need like product showcase, which automatically focuses on stuff you hold up so you don't have to hide your face behind what you're holding.

The video quality with the kit lens is good - but it gets really amazing when you add a fast prime lens such as the Sony 15mm f/1.4G lens. With a fast prime, you get great low-light performance and background blur - similar to what you'd see with a much more expensive full-frame camera.

It's not all great news, however. Vertical video still seems to be an afterthought for the ZV-E10 II, and you'll need a cage, L-bracket or ball head to use it vertically. The Wi-Fi app did not allow it to transfer videos at all (though stills did work). Connecting it with a USB-C cable to an iPhone 15 also did not allow it to transfer video files (though again, stills did work), probably because Sony places video files in a separate folder.

In those areas, the DJI Pocket 3 outperforms the Sony ZV-E10 II, and might be the better choice for many creators. The DJI Pocket 3 also has an internal wireless lav receiver, so you don't to attach a separate receiver to record audio for up to 2 on-camera hosts.
