Warm Up Routines for the Drum Set

Описание к видео Warm Up Routines for the Drum Set

Here is a video on how I warm up on the drum set every day.
This consists of using several rudimental etudes and exercises played with my hands over different ostinatos played by my feet.
These ostinatos come from my book Advanced Coordination for Drum Set and Hand Percussion. Other books used in this video include 14 Modern Contest Solos for Snare Drum by John Pratt as well as my books Broad Strokes (published by Tap Space at www.tapspace.com) and Lets go Camping (available from me at [email protected]).
I display several ways to use these books including replacing all of the drags, flams and parts of rolls for the Pratt solos. This is what I start the video with.

The equipment I am using consists of:
Pork Pie Drums
20"x 16" Bass Drum
Bass Drum and Hi Hat Pedals are Tama Iron Cobra
Toms: 8"x 8", 10"x 8", 14"x 12"
Canopus Zelkova 14"x 5" Snare Drum
Porkpie 10"x 5" Snare Drum
Bass drum head is an Aquarian Power Stroke 1
Snare head is a Remo Skyntone
Microphones are a AKG C24 stereo overhead and an AKG D112 on the Bass drum
